Smoked Duck Legs


TO PREPARE

1. If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator.
2. Remove Smoked Duck Legs from bag.

TO HEAT

Oven
Place Smoked Duck Legs skin side up in an oven dish in a hot oven, approx 15-20 mins.

Grill
Place Smoked Duck Legs in an oven dish skin side down under a hot grill for about 5 mins, turn over until the skin is crisp and the meat is piping hot.

BBQ
Wrap in foil with all the juices from the bag and heat through on the BBQ plate for about 10-15 mins, carefully remove from foil and quickly brown on each side.

Microwave*
Place in a microwavable dish and heat in microwave for approx 2-3 mins.
*Microwaving does not produce a crispy skin.

RECIPE IDEAS

Smoked Duck Legs on grilled asparagus.

  • Grill or pan fry some asparagus.
  • Drizzle over a little vinaigrette dressing.
  • Meanwhile, warm the Smoked Duck Legs as suggested.
  • Serve the Smoked Duck Legs on top of the asparagus with a side salad and some crusty bread.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

Cut into halves or quarters warm and serve as part of an antipasto platter.

Or cut the meat from the bone and add to pasta or risotto.
